I have been teaching at Skyline since 2011. I received my teaching degree at MSU and then received my masters from SBU. I am married and am blessed to live and work in the Skyline community. I have 5 children and I am a foster parent and I love teaching art.

CLASSES

Art 1-Art 1 provides an overview of the Elements of Art and the Principals of Design while exploring Art History, Art Criticism, Aesthetics, Foundations of Drawing, Printmaking and the Color Theory.  Students will use a variety of media including; pencil, colored pencil, water color, acrylics, pastels, and charcoal.

Art and Design-Art and Design is designed for the student who has successfully completed Art 1.  The Elements of Art and the Principals of Design will be explored.  Students will produce creative art projects that reflect their understanding of the art concepts.  A variety of media will be used including pencil, colored pencil, water color, acrylics, pastels, charcoal, and clay.  This course also includes jewelry making, printmaking, weaving, graphics/lettering, and mixed media.

Advanced Art-Advanced Art is designed for the second year art student to further their skills learned in the introductory high school level Art 1 class.  The Elements of Art and the Principals of Design will be incorporated into student projects.  A variety of media will be used including pencil, colored pencil, water color, acrylics, pastels, charcoal, and clay.  Hands-on projects on printmaking, silkscreen, sculpture, and clay will be created.  Students will create 2-Dimensional and 3-Deminsional Art projects.
