The Skyline Middle School has just been notified that they have earned the title of a 2021 Missouri Gold Star School.  The middle school was one of only eight schools in the state of Missouri selected by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for this award.

Missouri's Gold Star Schools Program was established in 1991 to recognize eight of the highest performing schools each year.  This award will also make Skyline Middle School eligible to be recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School.  Schools receiving this recognition must meet several standards including high student performance on the spring MAP test.

The middle school will officially be presented this award on September 3rd, when Missouri Commissioner of Education, Margie Vandeven, will present the Gold Star Plaque to staff and students.
