Skyline is pleased to announce that Jason Pursley, who has been at Skyline for 18 years, was selected by the Hickory County R-1 (Skyline) Board of Education to be the next Superintendent for the 2023-2024 school year. Mr. Pursley has served as the Elementary Principal since 2004. Mr. Pursley in conjunction with the Skyline Board of Education is excited to announce the following administrative hirings.
Mrs. Foster had been the Special Education Director for several years before taking the role of Middle School Principal this 2022-2023 school year. With the departure of Mr. Pursley to the Superintendent role, Skyline is pleased to announce that Mrs. Foster will be moving to the Elementary Principal position for the 2023-2024 school year.
Mr. Koele came from Wisconsin with three years of experience as an Assistant Principal and Athletics Director and has served as High School Principal at Skyline since the 2020-2021 school year. Skyline is pleased to announce that Mr. Koele will be moving to the Middle School Principal position for the 2023-2024 school year.
With the administration at Skyline shifting to new positions an opening for High School Principal was posted. The Skyline Board of Education is pleased to announce the hiring of Kevin Cheek as the 2023-2024 High School Principal. Mr. Cheek has spent his career at Skyline leading many students both academically and athletically. Skyline is pleased to announce his hiring and his addition to the Administrative team.
